Selling Tips for Current Market Conditions

1. Realistically price your house/apartment to sell, don’t forget the land registry now publish the sold prices for all the property in your road and general area, so buyers will recognise a high price when they see one.


2. It is a competitive market and there will be other people trying to sell property similar to yours. Your property must come out on top so:


a. Make sure your estate agent accompanies all viewings to maximise your chances of achieving a sale.


b. Make sure that the house is well prepared for the viewing, looking fresh and bright.


c. Make sure the garden is up to scratch, mow the lawn.


3. When you agree a deal, insist your solicitors deal speedily with purchasers enquiries and that you work to some form of programme, with an end date in mind.


It is not a bad time to sell, we have agreed a record number of sales since the early part of January. This includes virtually half of all the properties at our new development at South Hall Sands, without even launching a full advertising campaign, so it can be done.
